Mastering CSS and AJAX with Dreamweaver CS4
Morning Session: 9 to 11a.m.
Over the last several years, the world of web design has been undergoing a change, (finally) moving from the old table-based, non-semantic markup of the past into the world of standards-compliant web design. Getting a handle on this alphabet soup of HTML, XHTML, CSS and AJAX is can be a challenge. However, Dreamweaver CS4 takes a lot of the guesswork out of designing with CSS and makes even advanced AJAX development much more approachable. During this session, Adobe Evangelist Greg Rewis, co-author of Mastering CSS with Dreamweaver CS4, explores the three pillars of standards-compliant designmarkup, presentation and behaviorwhile simultaneously looking at a myriad of new features in Dreamweaver CS4 through live demonstrations.
Flash Bootcamp: Actionscript for Designers
Afternoon Session: 1 to 3p.m.
Flash has come a long way from its early days of skip intro and simple 2d animations. Todays Flash encompasses not only greatly improved animation capabilities, but also advanced features like inverse kinetics and 3D manipulations, not to mention being the most popular video delivery format on the web. But as a designer, one challenge continues to stand in your way to get the most out of Flash, you need to learn a little Actionscript. During this session, Greg Rewis will tear down the Actionscript wall, brick by brick, exposing what you really need to know as a designer to get the most out of Flash. By the end of the session, you may not be a guru, but you definitely wont be scared of the Actionscript wolf anymore!
FEE: Member/Student Member $35/FREE, Non-Member $50 per session
SPECIAL OFFER for registering for both classes:
Member/Student Member $50/FREE, Non-Member $85 both sessions
